Meet the founder!Community Is not A Side-hustle
Operated by Charisma Daniels under the guise of “centering Black masculine-presenting women,” this collective of one seeks to convert the scarcity of care that exists for all marginalized people into an economic opportunity for itself.
While late-stage capitalism allows it to exploit that lack of social infrastructure, the extraction doesn’t have to go unnoticed. Publicly, it is positioned as “For Us, By Us,” even though it is privately aligned with the bigots who would deny dignity to Black. Queer. Women.
Deeply lacking in the internal capacity to create the conditions necessary for true community to emerge, it forces its way onto the scene with shallow gatherings that do nothing to build healthy connections but serve as digital currency to be exchanged for relevance.
